YSF Venue & Travel

Venue

Located in the province of Gelderland, Wageningen is a historic and dynamic city in the central Netherlands. Known for its rich academic tradition, scenic landscapes, and vibrant community, Wageningen is often referred to as the City of Life Sciences due to its world-renowned research institutions. Surrounded by lush greenery, Wageningen offers breathtaking landscapes, including the Veluwe National Park and the Nederrijn River floodplains. The city is a paradise for hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers, with numerous trails and parks providing opportunities for outdoor exploration.

YSF 2026 will be held at the Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant De Wageningsche Berg, a 4-star superior hotel, nestled in the wooded area between the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and the Lower Rhine. The convention centre of the venue offers many facilities and activities to foster scientific exchange in sync with nature. In addition to making professional connections, participants will have opportunities to socialize, relax, and enjoy the natural landscapes.

Accommodation

YSF participants will stay at the Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant De Wageningsche Berg in Wageningen during the YSF, from 2nd to 4th July (2 nights). On July 4th, participants will move to the Crowne Plaza and the Kaboom hotels in Maastricht, near the Congress venue, where they will stay from 4th to 8th July (4 nights).

Accommodation will be in shared rooms. YSF participants do not need to book a room or pay accommodation fees. The YSF Organising Committee will take care of this, in collaboration with the Congress Organisers and FEBS. Participants who would like extra night(s) need to arrange the accommodation by themselves.
